Scalable Warehouse Management Solution Helps Longtime Customer Maximize Expansion Opportunities
Phoenix, AZ – May 11, 2015 – AFS Technologies, a leading global provider of software and services purpose-built for consumer goods, has continued to support the evolving operations of longtime-customer Chicken Express. With more than 200 restaurant locations and a new state of the art distribution center, Chicken Express relies on AFS Warehouse Management System and AFS ERP solutions to improve warehouse efficiency, increase competitiveness and capitalize on expansion opportunities.
Chicken Express was launched in March 1988 in Benbrook, TX and today boasts a network of locations across Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Georgia and Arkansas. The rapid growth of recent years has driven the need to further expand operations and as a result the restaurant chain constructed a new 100,000 square foot distribution center. Already an AFS ERP customer, Chicken Express turned to AFS Technologies to fully modernize their warehouse operations and implement a scalable warehouse management system that could grow along with the needs of their business.
“Facing unprecedented growth opportunities, our organization established a new distribution center to better support our evolving operations. To be successful we knew we needed a technology partner that could not only deliver on the technical requirements of our innovative new warehouse, but provide us with the proven strategies and real-world expertise needed to execute a successful roll out,” said Gary Johnson of Chicken Express. “With a robust solution and a dedicated, seasoned team, AFS has continued to demonstrate why they are the best in the business and we look forward to many more years of a successful working relationship.”
Chicken Express quickly deployed AFS Warehouse Management System to run the organization’s mission-critical warehouse operations. With the new system, Chicken Express can integrate both ERP and warehouse management functions. For example, the ability to seamlessly work with radio frequency (RF) and voice devices at the distribution center enables the restaurant chain to increase productivity, improve order accuracy, and bolster inbound and outbound product velocity. In addition, the system’s modular architecture ensures the organization can quickly scale capabilities as needed and better map to the needs of their thriving business.
“For more than 30 years customers have depended on us to provide innovative warehouse management solutions that optimize business performance and deliver rapid time to value,” said Mark Miller, SVP, Supply Chain for AFS Technologies. “We are proud to continue that mission and are dedicated to supporting customers like Chicken Express with a comprehensive product suite that can drive productivity and profitability in the face of a rapidly evolving consumer goods industry.”
